Documents & Requirements
Before you go to any CBT centre, gather these:
- Your National Identification Number (NIN)
- A valid phone number (must be registered with your NIN)
- Your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)
- Recent passport photograph (white background, not more than 3 months old)
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- State of origin certificate (optional but good to have)
- Money for registration (₦7,200 or ₦8,700 depending on choice)
No NIN = No registration. If you don’t have NIN yet, quickly visit the nearest NIMC office or use the USSD code to get one.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Register for JAMB 2026
Follow these simple steps carefully:
Step 1: Generate Your JAMB Profile Code
- Dial 550191# from the phone number linked to your NIN
- Follow the prompts and enter your details
- You will receive a 10-digit profile code via SMS (this is very important — keep it safe)
Step 2: Buy Your e-PIN
- Go to any JAMB-approved bank, online payment platform, or accredited CBT centre
- Pay for the e-PIN (₦7,200 without mock or ₦8,700 with mock)
- You will receive a PIN and Serial Number
Step 3: Go to an Accredited CBT Centre
- Visit any JAMB-approved CBT centre near you
- Give them your profile code, e-PIN, and other documents
- They will help you fill the form on their computer
Step 4: Fill Your Details Correctly
- Choose your first choice and second choice institutions
- Select your course of study
- Choose your exam town (pick a place close to you)
- Upload your passport photo and other documents
- Choose subjects (4 subjects including Use of English)
Step 5: Review & Submit
- Check everything very well, name, date of birth, subjects, etc.
- Submit and collect your registration slip (printout)
- Keep the slip safe. You will need it later
