The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) is set to hold its 14th Matriculation Ceremony for fresh students admitted in the 2025/2026 academic session. This important event officially welcomes new students into the university community and marks the start of their academic journey.
Ceremony Date, Time, and Venue
The matriculation ceremony is scheduled for:
- Date: Friday, January 30, 2026
- Time: 4:00 pm prompt
- Venue: University Auditorium, College of Health Sciences (COHS) Campus, Lokoja
All fresh students are expected to attend punctually, as this is a key milestone.
Important Deadline: Complete Registration and Payments
Fresh students who have not yet finished their registration and payment of school charges must do so on or before Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Failure to meet this deadline will result in automatic withdrawal of admission. This is a strict requirement, complete everything promptly to secure your spot.
Collection of Matriculation Gowns
Matriculation gowns will be available for collection starting Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Pick them up from your respective Departmental Administrative Officers on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early to avoid any shortages or delays, wearing the official gown is mandatory for entry into the ceremony hall.
What to Do on Matriculation Day
To make sure everything goes as planned for you, follow these instructions carefully:
- Assemble at the COHS ICT car park by 1:30 pm for the academic procession.
- The procession to the venue begins at 2:30 pm, join on time, as late comers will not be allowed to participate.
- Be seated in the auditorium by 3:30 pm. No entry or exit will be permitted after this time.
- Wear your official matriculation gown to gain admission into the hall.
Punctuality is important as the schedule is tight, and missing any step could mean missing the ceremony.
Gown Return and Late Fee Policy
Return your matriculation gown in good condition on or before 2:00 pm on Monday, February 2, 2026.
Any late return will attract a penalty fee of N5,000. Handle the gown carefully and return it promptly to avoid extra charges.
